At approximatly 7:00am of the 4th Engine 129 was dispatched at a dumpster fire in the parking lot on the 100 block of West Maple Ave. E1291 and E1292 responded and extinguished the fire.
at approximately 7:20 am Engine 129 was dispatched to for mulch that was smoldering in the 100 Block of South Centre Street.

Last night the Merchantville Fire Department assisted Santa with bringing holiday cheer. Santa also stopped by the Presbyterian Church to congratulate the scouts on their Court of Honor.
Members came together tonight to decorate the fire station for the holiday season and have our annual Thanksgiving meal together. We are always looking for new members. If you are interested in becoming a member come by the station.

The Merchantville Fire and Police Departments trained together to learn how to handle traumatic injuries. the class was put on by Cooper health systems.
The members of the Merchantville Fire Department trained on extricating a person from a motor vehicle accident. If you ever thought about being a firefighter stop by and see what it is all about. The MFD is always looking for volunteers.

We would like to congradulate two of our members for enlisting in the US Army. Probationary FF Amanda Bakley Enlisted into the US Army Reserves where she will be a Military Police Officer and JR FF Leslie Knaus enlisted in the US Army active duty where she will be in army intelligence branch.
On Monday evening we had the pleasure of watching Mayor Brennan officially swear Patrolman Matthew Rulli in as the next Sergeant for the Merchantville Police Department. Congratulations Sgt. Rulli!!

On October 24th the the Fire Department assited the 8th grade class with their Holloween parade. Due to COVID-19 restricitions they were unable to have their annual Haunted House so they put on a parade instead.
Tuesday night drill, members trained on engine and ladder company duties at an acquired structure. Firefighters simultaneously deployed hand lines and performed searches of the building as well as ventilated horizontally and vertically.
The Officers and Members would like to congratulate FF Max Carfagno on graduating Coast Guard basic training. Max is in their officer training program and when he completes college he will be commissioned as an Ensign.
The Officers and Members would like to congratulate Probationary Firefighter Elizabeth Knaus (CCTS), Firefighter Eric Chester (PHS) on graduating high school and JR Firefighter Christopher Patti (RCS) on graduating 8th grade.
